Tale of a Hero

This morning 9am we rushed to the hospital because the ICU team called me,
When we arrived, daddy is ok, but the doctor told us that his condition is not ok..
We started singing, and telling encouraging words from the bible,
He can still communicate with us, and nodded when I recite psalm 23,
He knows that his Redeemer lived,
He probably knows more than I do…

He nodded when I said I love him so much,
And thank him for introducing me to Jesus,
And all his care for me throughout my years…

10am the chaplain arrived,
He gave a short morning devotional,
And said.. “Pastor Edward, we are going to pray for you…”
My dad crossed his hands and put his fingers together…

The chaplain started to pray…
And in the middle of a prayer… my dad passed away…
He closed his eyes while talking to his Heavenly Father…
His Heavenly Father whom he has served for more than 30 years,

I shed no tears, because I know his Redeemer lives, my Savior and my King...
This is what sin can do, but I have hope to what my Jesus can do.
I believe in a full confidence that Jesus will call my dad, by his own name when He comes…

“Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things,
I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”
